3. A great two-in-one cassette featuring two of Prince 's finest, most eclectic and superbly performed albums. Dirty Mind and Controversy had fine message tracks, seamlessly blended funk, soul, rock and even a light jazz flavor, and mixed eroticism, vulgarity, and humor.

4. Leave it to Prince to make such a politically-charged tune sound just like a nursey-rhyme on acid. LET’S WORK is probably my least favorite (generic funk) but the last two songs are great. ANNIE CHRISTIAN is another topical song with Prince speaking the lyrics and the final cut JACK U OFF, like PRIVATE JOY, ends the album on a more playful note/5().

5. Let's Work is the sixth track on Prince's fourth album Controversy, and, three months after the album's release, Let's Work was released as the album's second single.. The track was initially recorded (as Let's Rock) between July at Mountain Ears Sound Studio in Boulder, Colorado, during sessions for The Rebels album. Let's Rock was named after a dance called "The Rock" Prince had.
